Avocado Donuts

The combination of chocolate and avocado in these oven baked donuts works together to create a decadently sweet snack that’s also packed with vitamins and healthy fats! 

Ingredients

  • Flour. 
  • Cocoa powder. 
  • 1 cup of AvoGrand avocado pulp. 
  • Baking powder. 
  • Baking soda. 
  • Salt. 
  • Milk. 
  • Maple syrup. 
  • Apple cider vinegar. 
  • Vanilla extract. 
  • Butter. 
  • Powdered sugar. 
  • Chocolate-mint sprinkles.

Preparation

  1. You’ll need two bowls to begin. In one bowl, combine the dry ingredients, including the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In the other bowl, stir together the avocado pulp, milk, maple syrup, vinegar, and vanilla. After that, just combine the dry ingredients with the avocado mixture to prepare the batter.
  2. Bake the donuts. Use a donut pan to shape the batter into round donut shapes. Then, bake the donuts for around 16 minutes. You’ll know when the donuts are finished cooking when the cake bounces back after you press it with your finger.
  3. Decorate the donuts. After your avocado donuts are finished baking, you can have some fun with the toppings. Prepare a white chocolate avocado glaze to drizzle over the top of the cooled donuts. Then, add some chocolate-mint sprinkles on top.
