Avocado Sushi!

Do you like sushi? Have you ever wondered how the chefs can make that avocado roll? If you do, this is an incredible recipe for you with the one you’ll leave friends & family impressioned.

This recipe is a little more complex than the others, that’s why you need to be careful so the sushi rolls can be perfect.

Ingredients

  • 2 Epsilon Integra Trade fresh avocados.
  • 80 grams of raw rice for sushi.
  • 1 spoonful of rice vinegar.
  • ½ spoonful of sugar.
  • 1 seaweed sheet.
  • ½ sliced bell pepper.
  • 2 sheets of sliced iceberg lettuce.

Preparation

  1. Cook the sushi rice according to the instructions on the package.
  2. Combine the hot sushi rice, rice vinegar, and sugar in a bowl and allow the mixture to cool.
  3. While that’s happening, cut the seaweed paper in half.
  4. Place a layer of plastic wrap on a tablecloth or mat, this to prevent the rice from sticking.
  5. Lay the seaweed paper on top, shiny side down.
  6. Add half of the sushi rice and spread until the rice is even, pressing gently on the seaweed paper.
  7. Flip the rice sheet over on the plastic wrap (rice below and seaweed paper on top).
  8. Lay the sliced vegetables on the seaweed paper.
  9. Roll up the sushi with the mat or tablecloth, gently pressing the roll into a square shape as you roll and preventing the plastic wrap from sticking to the rice.
  10. Repeat the same process for your second maki roll, so that you have two rolls with rice on the outside.
  11. Cut your Epsilon Integra Trade avocados in half, remove the pit and carefully scoop out the entire outer part of the fruit.
  12. Cut the avocado into slices, approximately every 2 to 3 millimeters.
  13. With your fingertips, gently push the avocado slices to their sides and spread them out a little so that each one is on top of the other.
  14. Open the plastic wrap on the maki rolls, then carefully slide a long knife under all the avocado slices to scoop them up and bring them to the top of the sushi roll.
  15. Re-cover with cling film and use the mat or tablecloth to press the avocado slices into the rolls.
  16. Cut each roll into 8 pieces of sushi. (Keeping the film on the maki). Remove the film from the sushi carefully and that’s it.
