Heart Pancakes

Prepare for St Valentine’s Day with this special recipe that your family will enjoy a complete new taste of pancakes. 

Ingredients.

  • 1 cup of AvoGrand avocado pulp. 
  • 1 cup of packed fresh spinach.
  • 1 cup of buttermilk.
  • 1 large egg. 
  • 1 tablespoon of oil.
  • 1 cup of white whole wheat flou.
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar.
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder.
  • ½ teaspoon of baking soda.
  • ½ teaspoon of salt. 

Preparation

  1. In a blender, combine the avocado pulp, spinach, buttermilk, egg, and oil and blend it until it is smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, pour the remaining ingredients and whisk them.
  3. Whisk the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until you have a consistent mix.
  4. Heat a large pan or griddle over medium heat and grease with butter or oil and prepare a heart-shaped cookie-cutter.
  5. Pour 1 tablespoon of the pancake mixture onto the griddle and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Flip the pancakes, and cook them for one minute longer.
  7. Once the pancake is ready you can use the heart-shaped cookie cutter to give the pancakes their special shape, then you are ready to feast on these hearts.
